7 Broadbeach bars to visit these holidays

Beachy keen for a booze-filled crawl through some of Broadbeach’s finest?

Whether you’re down for a daytrip or settling in for a few days of GC living, there are plenty of spots to quench your thirst in good old Broadbeach.

Fig & Frankie’s | 4/2707 Gold Coast Highway

This gorgey laneway bar is a quintessential beach sipping spot, with an open-air setting, awesome cocktails, and tasty snacks! Expect unique and premium ingredients in your bev like coffee bitters, burnt butter, salted watermelon, or house-made manda-cello and (whatever you do) don’t skip the truffle honey halloumi snack!

Veladora | The Star

This speakeasy-style bar serves up a hefty dose of Mexican escapism in secret! After you DM them on Insta to gain access, explore the list of mezcals, tequilas, Mexican beers and unique snacks, with the world-class bar team serving up some seriously impressive sips in the appearance and taste departments.

Miss Moneypenny’s | 50 Surf Parade

From Noosa to Broady, Miss Moneypenny’s does beachy cocktails right! With categories including signatures, spritzers, gin and tonics and “’80s cruise ship drinks”, there’s guaranteed to be a sip for everyone. Once you’ve ordered a beveragino, peruse the snacks menu to pair it with the likes of kingfish ceviche, barbecued octopus and beef tataki—now you’re on holiday, baby!

Roosevelt Lounge | 7 Surf Parade

Take a well-heeled step back in time at this jazzy, speakeasy-inspired bar. With inventive cocktails, top-shelf spirits and a menu serving up tasty bites like New England-style Moreton Bay bug rolls, haloumi fries, and chilli prawn flatbreads, this moody spot is perfect for starting or finishing a night on the GC.

Aloha Bar & Dining | 18 Main Place

What’s the Stitch? Start the night in true Tiki fashion at this beautiful (and well-stocked) bar, brimming with top-shelf bottles just waiting for you to say mah-hello. For those looking to begin with a bang, look no further than Aloha’s Mr. Bombastic cocktail, sporting Wray and Nephew overproof rum, vanilla-infused rum, pink citrus and guava soda.

The Bavarian Broadbeach | 5 Oracle Boulevard

We froth German-style brews and eats! The Bavarian’s biers, including a solid lowenbrau original lager or their tasty Bavarian Diesel, a dark lager with a dash of Coca Cola thrown in, pair perfectly with their Munich-style eats including schnitzels and pork knuckles, as well as more classic beer-y fare like burgers. Not a beer-drinker? Their cocktails like the Jager Mule with Jägermeister, ginger beer and cucumber go down nicely after a dip in the sea.

The Loose Moose | 75 Surf Parade

This one’s for the whisky-lovers! This central spot has over 160 global whiskies on the shelves, as well as 25 taps pouring up craft beers. As well as the naughty-but-nice Canadian-inspired menu there’s a tempting cocktail list of signatures and four takes on the Old Fashioned so there’s something for everyone to, as they say, get loose at the moose!
