Wild Canary, masters at taking fresh garden produce and turning into something that gets you drooling, have shared their chocolate quinoa cake recipe that would fool even the most dedicated of cake lovers into thinking they were over-indulging. Bonus, it’s totally gluten-free!
Ingredients
- 550g cooked quinoa
- 20g butter
- 120ml milk
- 6 eggs
- 165g cocoa powder
- 500g castor sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ¾ tsp baking soda
- Preheat your oven to 180C.
- Grease and line a 24cm springform cake tin.
- In a food processor, blend the quinoa, butter and milk for 20 seconds. Add the remaining ingredients and blend for a further 1minute.
- Pour the cake batter into a tin and bake for approximately 1 hour or until an inserted skewer comes out clean.
