Find a little bliss at the city’s new health food spot

Finally, there’s a spot in the CBD that means when that 3pm case of hangry hits, or you get a little peckish carrying all those shopping bags, you can fill the void with something healthy, tasty and filling, because Coco Bliss has arrived in the Wintergarden! After winning over Bulimba and Garden City with their scrumptious smoothies and fruity acai bowls, this healthful spot has opened up in Paddington and the city, meaning you can get your hands on their nutritious snacks no matter what side of town you’re on (don’t worry north side, they’re coming your way soon). You’ll find the new city location on the bottom level of the Wintergarden, a blue oasis at the entrance to the food court. If you’ve got the time to take a seat and dig a spoon in, order yourself on of their superfood acai bowls. More like dessert than the clean, raw and nourishing feeds that they are, these bowls of goodness come in flavours like the choc coconut Bounty, the sweet and crunchy apple rhubarb crumble bowl, and an intense cleansing activated charcoal bowl. cocobliss-2Prefer to walk and sip? Grab a smoothie instead – and don’t worry, it’s not just green kale and spinach numbers on the menu here! There’s chocolate, salted caramel, mocha and choc peanut – all your fave smoothie flavours only guilt-free! You can even have them made on lactose free milk, as well as add extras like protein and health boosters. Need something to grab and go for later? You’ll also find raw slices, chia seed puddings, raw chocolate mousse and bliss balls in their cabinet, and smooth coffee for that extra pep in your step. So next time you’re in the city and in the need of a pick-me-up, skip the guilt of a fast food stop and head to Coco Bliss for a tummy filler of the nourishing kind. You’ll find them in the Wintergarden at 185 Queen Street, open 7 days a week. Words by Ranyhyn Akui
