Oktoberfest Brisbane

Over 43,000 Bavarian enthusiasts are set to descend on the Brisbane Showgrounds on Oktober 6-8 and 13-15 for the tenth installment of Australia’s biggest Oktoberfest celebration. There’s no better place to embrace your inner German!   The food alone is worth a visit: chow down on delicacies like pork knuckle, bratwurst, sacher torte and apple strudel. But of course, you’re probably most looking forward to the authentic German beer.   More than just delicious beers and Bavarian bites, the 4000-square meter Oktoberfest Tent will be host to a line-up of live entertainment including the six-member Oompah band ‘Münchner Buam’, yodeller Heidi and a shoe-slapping, cow-bell ringing performance from the Alpenrosen Dance Group (we’re intrigued).
