Paddington’s newest must-try from a former MasterChef contender

Emily Yeoh is back with some authentic Chinese, Cantonese, and Malaysian bites in tow!

Following in the footsteps of Andy Allen, Reynold Poernomo, and Laura Sharrad (among a plethora of others!) ex-MasterChef contestant Emily Yeoh is looking forward to opening her own restaurant, after appearing on the program in 2014.

Since her stint on our screens, Emily has worked at some of Australia and Brisbane’s best institutions, including Attica with Ben Shewry, GOMA Restaurant with Josh Lopez, and Blackbird with Jake Nicolson.

Authentic flavours on offer at Emily Yeoh include expertly crafted siu mai holding local prawn, a fragrant duck curry with noodles, and Hainanese chicken rice, with all dishes optimised for sharing (so you can try a bit of everything!). Classic roast meats including roasted dry-aged duck smoked with cherry wood, coal-smoked barbecue pork with local honey glaze, and crispy pork belly also feature.

A brief list of wines and beers includes something for everyone, while cocktails echo the fresh, tropical flavours on which the menu is based.

Situated in the heart of Paddington’s main strip on Given Terrace, Emily’s restaurant is set to become a local favourite for any night of the week—Emily Yeoh is open for takeaway from Monday, July 27, and dine-in commences on Monday, August 10.
