Your guide to making the most of Dine BNE City

From Eagle Street to Brisbane Quarter, you already know that Brisbane City is a foodie paradise...

This month, to celebrate all that’s on offer across Brisbane’s CBD, Brisbane City Council is launching Dine BNE City, a program of special offers and events running from May 13-30!

With three pillars (Let’s Do Lunch, Bar Safari and Supper Club) breaking the offers into categories, as well as special one-off events including the return of the popular Sea To The City bug and oyster trail, there’s more than enough to sink your teeth into! To make things a little bit easier, we’ve picked some highlights for a few situations you might find yourself in…

For knockoffs

Welcome the weekend for just $20 at Super Whatnot with a Super Margarita and Ensenada-style fish taco, or look upward to The Pool Terrace & Bar at the Hyatt Regency for a pork belly or mushroom bao with a Flight of the Grouse cocktail with Naked Grouse whisky, cherry brandy and pomegranate juice. Cheers to the tasty weekend!

For the carnivores

Few spots are known for a great steak more than Walter’s, so meat lovers best not miss their $120 four-course Chef’s Table dinner on Wednesday, May 26! Down by the boardwalk, Fatcow Steak & Lobster will have you dining on a three-course lunch featuring an eye fillet with a lobster tail topper, or, for something more casual, Buffalo Bar is doing a $25 burger and pint deal.

For a special occasion

Toast to your health, wealth or best self at Mr and Mrs G’s Riverbar with their bougie $199 offer for a dozen oysters and a bottle of vintage Moët (or opt for the more low-key bottle of NV Moët and half-dozen oysters for $135), or take a seat at Saké Restaurant and Bar to enjoy an eight-course Japanese feast for just $99.

For something healthy

It can’t all be about indulging! Cheeky Poké has you covered with a healthy lunch option of your choice of taco, bowl and drink for lunch for $25, while you can grab a vibrant green bean salad with peas, cucumber, mint, coriander, tahini yoghurt, fetta and fried shallots with a drink at Lennon’s for $35.

For a Sunday session

Kick things off with Riverbar & Kitchen‘s deal on two pulled pork bao buns paired with a wine or beer from their selected list for $25, or elevate your sesh at Madame Wu where a smoked ocean trout salad or serve of steamed duck buns with a glass of Mumm champagne will set you back $35.

For a hungover Monday lunch

Went too hard last night? Riverland has you covered with a greasy torta (think Mexican-style burger) from their resident food truck plus a drink for $20, or Hellcat Maggie will sort you out with a loaded burger with shoestring fries (a hangover essential) and a schooner for $25. Ah, sweet medicine!

For some exercise

Need to walk off some of your Dine BNE City spoils? Try the Urban Wine Walk on May 15, Urban Craft Beer Crawl on May 22, and Urban Cocktail Trail on May 29 to get you up and walking between venues (and sampling plenty of the good stuff along the way!).

With over 80 offers available during Dine BNE City, we take that as a challenge… So, how many can you do?
