If you’ve got a gourmet-loving Mum that you want to spoil for Mother’s Day, or you simply want an excuse to eat some fine ass food—we’ve hunted down some of Brisbane’s best takeaway multi-course menus for you!
Rogue Bistro
Yes, some of us are going rogue in iso. In this instance, however, going rogue means digging into a meal that is equal parts tasty and wholesome, and a little bit ~fancy~.
Rogue offers takeaway dinner seven nights a week, with a set menu for two and four available. Each set menu features some highlights of the takeaway menu, combined so nobody misses out. As a special Mother’s Day treat, Rogue is offering a special package that includes a lush bouquet of local flowers, a handmade card, and a six pack of decadent macarons. Why not grab the gift package alongside the feast for four, and really give Mum a night to remember!?
Deer Duck Bistro
This classy suburban spot is offering five-course set menus for you and bae (or Mum) to enjoy from the comfort of your kitchen table. The menu changes weekly, but usually features breads, seafood, pasta, a meat course, and a decadent dessert. Keep up to date via their Instagram, and order here.
NOTA
NOTA has curated a very special Mother’s Day semi-prepared feast that has us breathing heavily! The menu begins with four small plates including a fresh scallop ceviche with applewood gin and and seasonal citrus, and a potato and caramelised onion croquette with blue cheese royale.
Locally sourced bugs with a sauce vierge alongside Brisbane Valley quail with porcini veloute make up the epic main offerings, with a warm house crumble and vanilla anglaise. Visit their Instagram for details on how to order.
Elska
After only opening in February this year, the team at Elska have adapted to the new normal, offering their contemporary flavours as a multi-course takeaway. Alongside the produce box (an absolute winner) and family box, the date night box features some of Elska’s tastiest creations—last week contained yummies like aged duck croquette, smoked ricotta gnocchi, and a whole roasted quail.
Saccharomyces Beer Cafe
Twice a week, our mates at Saccharomyces are putting on some epic degustations-from-home as part of their Iso Dego series.
Coming up on May 6 is the Isolation Degustation VII: Pina Colada Crazy—a feast heroing the flavours of pina colada, with Amundsen Pillars of Light Pina Colada IPA, and a pineapple chicken curry, followed by a pina colada trifle. May 8 will be Iso Dego VIII: Hello darkness my old friend, designed purely for the lovers of malt out there. Two dark beers, served alongside a dark ale lamb stew, and a triple chocolate mousse with chocolate cookies. We’re drooling already.
And no, you don’t have to get dressed up to go to your kitchen table…
