Fuel up the car and embrace the charming country character of Caboolture as its newest family-friendly festival takes over on August 3-August 12.
With two jam-packed weekends of fabulous foodie delights, fun activities, live entertainment, and much, much more, let us take you through some of the lineup highlights.
Strawberry Sunday | WAMURAN
Been missing those strawberry kisses? Enjoy strawberry fields forever as you hop, skip and jump into Luvaberry Farm on August 4 for an epic strawberry pickin’ sesh.
Boasting Queensland’s juiciest, reddest and tastiest berries, bring along the whole family and load up your baskets with mountains and mountains of the good stuff. Pack a rug for a strawberry themed picnic in the afternoon, or relax with a free Get Lick’d ice-block for an extra dose of sweetness.
With three berry sweet sessions on offer and family passes available, it’s time to embrace your inner farmer and secure your place here.
Garden to Plate | GATHER AND FEAST
Forget paddock to plate—it’s all about garden-to-plate at this year’s foodie fest. Savour the flavours of winter with a feast for the eyes and bellies, showcasing the very best of Moreton Bay produce in four glorious, vegetarian courses.
You might not make friends with salad, but we guarantee you’ll fall in love with the inventive mushroom cappuccino appetiser, made with Jerusalem artichoke and porcini dust. Leave mushroom for mains (trust us, you’ll want to) as a creamy verde risotto packed with fresh herbs, honey roasted pumpkin, local citrus, and candied fennel salad takes the stage. Round off by slipping into a fresh strawberry Eton tidy with elderflower cream, torched meringue, blueberry dust and blood orange sorbet.

Food Trucks | JAMES STREET
Take your rumbling stomach and its yearning for something utterly scrumptious down to James Street on Saturday, August 10 and tantalise your senses with food trucks galore. Join hungry, hungry foodies across the region as you wander through quality purveyors, local growers, and talented street chefs, dishing up mouth-watering sensations of Italy, America, and Australia.
The smoky sensations of Bimms BBQ skewers are likely to win you over, alongside their garlic rice, homemade peanut sauce and grilled corn cobs. Those looking for something sweet will be spoilt for choice as My Mobile Sweet Spot’s bubble waffles and pancake puffs deliver a seriously incredible feast for the eyes and tastebuds.
With a pop-up bar and live entertainment on offer, pack a blanket and enjoy a luxury feast under the stars.
Family Fun Activities | VARIOUS
We promised it’d be family fun, and family fun it is!
With more activities than you could poke a strawberry at, there’s been no better time to load up the car (and the kids) and head outback.
If you think you can stay up past 8pm, roll down on Sunday, August 11 with a picnic blanket and snacks in tow for a free outdoor movie night featuring How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World.
There might not be any dragons on offer at the Adopt a Pet Day (maybe check back next year), but you will be able to find plenty of regional animal shelters helping loving adopters find their next family pup, cat, guinea pig or bird. New furry friend, anyone?
Culminating in the ultimate family-friendly lollapalooza on August 12 is the Family Fun Day, boasting free rides, stage shows, show bags, and, of course, food stalls galore. Fan of Sizzler’s cheese toast? Show off the face-stuffing skills you’ve honed at the buffet bar with a cheese toastie eating competition at 1pm.
On that note, pass me my wicker basket.
