Think two homemade beef patties, cheese, tomato sauce, mustard, pickles, and onions encased inside Banjo’s signature flaky pie pastry. It’s not for the faint hearted… Grab one from their Cleveland or Darra stores, and see why this is the flavour combo you never knew you needed.

Turkish Delight Pie | The Pie Hole
Delivering sweet (and occasionally savoury) pies to the good people of Brisbane, The Pie Hole is an online store with a delectable selection. Picking just one was nearly impossible (honourable mentions to the pecan chocolate bourbon pie and the ricotta and pineapple curd pie), but our winner is the Turkish delight-inspired treat.
Chicken and Mushroom Pie | Banneton
This French-style artisan bakery has mastered the art of all things pastry, and their savoury offerings are just as drool-worthy as their Viennoiserie. Their chicken and mushroom pie is loaded up with the good stuff, and a generous glug of white wine for good measure.
Osso Bucco Pie | King Street Bakery
A wintery lunch that we could easily smash all year around, this decadent delight takes the humble pie and cranks it up about a hundred notches. Dine in at this King Street haunt and enjoy the pie with a dressed side salad, and simply watch the world go by.
Apple Pie | Gerbino’s
This Italian bakery is famous for its cannoli, but we have a lot of love for their classic apple pie! I mean, what’s not to love about perfectly spiced apples encased in shortcrust pastry?

With locations in Coorparoo and Mt Gravatt, this wholesome pie shop always brings the flavour. Their Jack Daniel’s and BBQ pork number is a perfectly savoury treat, best served floater-style.
