Brisbane's coolest summer desserts

Summer Desserts Brisbane
Mangoes, cherries and ice cream... we think summer's pretty sweet.

Whether you’re looking to step up your summer dessert game or are looking for the sweetest spots to keep cool this season, we’ve gathered the freshest, fruitiest, iciest desserts to keep you feeling chilled and looking #glowing not #sweaty.

Mango | Otto Brisbane

What better after a bougie Italian feast that Queensland’s best? This dessert is stacked up with mango, yoghurt, macadamia and passionfruit for the perfect warm weather, tropically-flavoured delight to wrap up your summer dining experience at this staple.

Tropical ice | Stanley

Howard Smith Wharves’ Cantonese hotspot is dishing up a dessert that features the best flavours of an Aussie summer, with local baby pineapple, vanilla gelato and lime sago topped off with tropical ice. The perfect end to a feast of dumplings, whole fish, and mapo tofu, if you ask us!

Horchata sorbet | Baja

After your meal of fresh and funky Mexican flavours, what could be better than a palate-cleansing rice milk sorbet with cold drip coffee gel and wild rice? It’s an on-theme and unexpected dessert that we can’t get enough of!

Mango pancakes | Brisbane Phoenix

They’re fresh, they’re fruity, they’re creamy, and they’re so goddamn perfect after stuffing yourself full of Phoenix’s amazing dumplings! A classic take on mango pancakes, these crepe-like rolls of heaven are fragrant with ripe mango, and maaaaaaaay be better than a Weis bar.

Coconut panna cotta | Same Same

Escape bustling James Street and take your tastebuds on a real Thai holiday with this fragrant panna cotta served with green apple and chilli sorbet and coconut praline.

Watermelon soft-serve | Double Good at Eat Street

Luscious (and stunningly pink) watermelon soft serve, served up in a slice of the real thing? That’s our serve of fruit for the day! Double Good at Eat Street has mastered the art of outrageous chilled desserts, and now that Eat Street is back open for summer they’re our first stop (of many, of course).

Matcha tiramisu parfait | Koto Sanpo

A little slice of Japan on Elizabeth Street, stop by this Japanese eatery for their signature dessert: the matcha tiramisu parfait. Layers of matcha cake, sweet red beans, matcha jelly, sweet strawberry mochi and more make for the perfect warm-weather dessert that’s not-too-sweet, not-too-savoury, and all too irresistible.

Forget summer sweat… we’re doing summer sweet.
