Yeeha!
LOADED BURGERS | ZE PICKLE BURGER | VARIOUS LOCATIONS
There are endless arguments surrounding the perfect burger. Should it have vegetables, pro or against bacon, is a brioche bun a delicious addition – or sacrilege? How many patties is too many patties? We at the G&G believe that all burgers are beautiful, all burgers are special, however there is one that, literally, towers above the rest. The Triple Loco from Ze Pickle contained 3 wagyu beef patties, triple jack cheese, triple maple bacon, pecan wood smoked brisket, health (sure…), zp sauce, smoked jalapenos, fried onion straws and slaw, served between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. Try saying all of that without taking a breath. I think we just got clogged arteries thinking about it…
BRAISED LAMB SHOULDER | BAR ALTO | NEW FARM
If your meat tastes are more sophisticated than gluttonous, you might want to veto the burger and head to Bar Alto for the famous braised lamb shoulder. Served to share (we won’t judge if you don’t!) it’s accompanied by red chili, new potatos artichoke and mint. Order an Aperol Spritz and gaze out over the river looking poignant, no one will know you’re just thinking about your next meal.
MUNICH BREWERS PLATTER | BAVARIAN BIER CAFÉ | CBD
Want some pork on your fork? Stingin’ for a schnitty? Can’t decide between the two? The Munich Brewers Platter is your friend. With crispy pork belly, roasted port knuckle, schnitzel, haus sausages and sides like mashed potato, sauerkraut and bier gravy – you’ll be saying guten tag to a food baby.
STEAK | CHAR CHAR CHAR WINE BAR AND GRILL | CBD
When your hunger is at stake, it’s hard to look past a Char Char Char steak. With eight different steaks to choose from (grass AND grain fed), it’s no wonder that the CBD bar and grill has a reputation for the best steaks in Brisbane.
Feeling especially decadent? Served with tempura Tasmanian Bruney Island oysters and truffled ponzu dressing – the striploin is no brainer. Grain fed for 600 days with rich, buttery and nutty flavours – this is not your Sunday arvo BBQ kind of steak – this steak is worthy of royalty.
So whether you’re into brisket, bacon, burgers or bao – we recommend checking out some of Brisbane’s best.
