Brisbane’s best hot girl walks

Adidas sambas and Frank Green bottles at the ready because today, we hot girl walk!

A once mundane task, regarded with the same enthusiasm as completing a tax return, has had a revitalising rebrand. Hot girl walks are your opportunity to rock that matching athleisure set, listen to a killer audiobook or grab a gal pal and spill 👏 the 👏 tea 👏. It’s no longer a chore; it’s the highlight of the day and we’ve found the best locations to make it extra special.

So start your smart watch because here’s where we’re clocking 10,000 steps:

Kangaroo Point Cliffs to City

Ahh the Brown Snake – despite all the jipes and teases we throw at it, there’s no denying that Brisbanites love being beside the river. So first on our list has to be the Kangaroo Point River walk which boasts unparalleled views of the Brisbane cityscape. Starting at South Bank and stretching an easy 7km long, it’s the perfect spot to hit that daily step goal. A quick detour up the Kangaroo Point Cliff staircase offers some of the most breathtaking views and a serious cardio spike as your hot-girl walk turns vertical. But, if we’re being honest, the only detour we’re taking is to Christian Jacques bakery and grabbing a huge almond croissant to put some serious pep in our step.

Brisbane Riverwalk New Farm

Turns out Jesus isn’t the only one who can walk on water because, thanks to the Brisbane to New Farm riverwalk, you can glide across a picturesque 870m long path. And the best part? The walk ends at the iconic Howard Smith Wharves where you may want to take on another miracle and turn some water into wine. Find out more and plan your trot here.

Wynnum to Manly Foreshore

Leave that texturising sea salt spray at home because this next hot girl walk is giving you the real deal. Wander along the scenic Wynnum to Manly foreshore, and take in that refreshing beachside breeze. With 10km of different walking routes, you’re bound to build up an appetite, so it’d be rude not to pop into the Manly Boathouse for some upscale fish & chips.

Riverside and Botanic Gardens

Ready for a sizzling adventure in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD? The botanical gardens are calling your name! Imagine strolling through a lush rainforest, enjoying riverside views, and taking a breather under the cool shade of gigantic tamarind trees. It’s like a glam rendezvous with nature and the ultimate playground for your hot girl trot!

Mt Coot-tha

So you’re thinking of graduating from the hot girl walk to the hot girl hike? Enter Mt Coot-tha, your amuse bouche before the whole ‘waking up at 4am and driving an hour out of the city to catch a golden post-hike sunrise’. And honestly, with over 70 trails and tracks to choose from and less than 10km from the CBD, we don’t see why you should deal with that faff anyway.

UQ Lakes

Don’t let those pesky uni students fool you; you don’t need to pay exorbitant student fees to enjoy a stroll through the lakes at the University of Queensland. So go ahead, marvel at the water fountain, make friends with the ducks and see if you can spot a turtle during your next hot girl walk. Pro tip: If you’re looking to add a grammable moment to your walk, the jacarandas really pop off in October.
