14 of Brisbane’s Best Banquets

It’s pretty hard to pick what to order off a menu when everything sounds so dang good. Luckily, some of our favourite Brissy restaurants have created some exciting banquet menus to take the hard work out of ordering. 

The Green | James St, Fortitude Valley

The Green are serving up some epic weekend banquets, with two options starting at $55 per person. They’re dishing out a spread of modern Middle Eastern favourites that’ll make your taste buds dance. The choice is yours to pick between Charcoal-roasted whole fish with tahini and coriander sauce or Slow-braised Bzaar Spiced beef cheek with almond tarator and preserved lemon gremolata as your main event. Grab your crew and dive into all these flavours.

Yamas | West End

Don’t let your feed, currently filled with pics of your friends in Greece, get you down. Yamas is dishing out their ‘Zeus Banquet’ for just $55 per person, and it’s a seven-course Greek extravaganza. All  of your fave dishes are lined up and ready to roll. This feast is up for grabs every day until 6:30pm, perfect for an early dinner.

Tillerman | CBD

If you’ve been daydreaming about a riverside feast, Tillerman is calling your name. Their Long Winter Lunch banquet is only $59 a head, and you’ll get to Ssnk your teeth into their Crispy Southern Reef Squid with Tillerman’s own Truffle Tartar or the crispy-skinned Coral Coast Baby Barramundi Fillet with fried capers and paprika & citrus beurre noisette. Our mouths are already drooling.

Lune Lab | Fish Lane, South Brisbane

I’m sure we have all had our lives changed by a Lune pastry by now (and if you haven’t, what have you been doing?) but you can take that experience to a whole other level at Lune Lab. You’ll be served a three course set menu of both sweet and savoury croissants paired with beverages while overlooking their production kitchen, The Cube. This unique experience, which includes special off menu items, is sure to make you the ultimate pastry connoisseur.

Rich and Rare | West Village, West End

Get ready to dive into the ultimate comfort food spread at Rich and Rare with their ‘$50 Power Banquet’! It’s on offer every day from 11am to 6pm. They’ve lined up all the winter warmers we crave, like Sirloin Steak with Mushroom sauce, Barramundi with Tobiko, miso butter, and pickled kohlrabi, and Seared Scallop with caramelised cauliflower purée and jamón crumb. Our stretchy pants are on standby.

Yoko | Howard Smith Wharves, CBD

Yoko is taking banquets to the next level with their Buns + Bubbles deal. For just $85 per person, you get their amazing banquet menu plus 1 hour and 45 minutes of prosecco and wine. Feeling extra luxe? Add cocktail jugs for an extra $45 per person. Buns + Bubbles is on every Saturday from 11:30am to 3pm – start your weekend off right!

Botellon Tapas & Wine Bar | Graceville

If you want to enjoy a Sunday lunch banquet away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Botellon Tapas & Wine Bar is the spot for you. Their Sunday Set banquet menu is inviting you to feast on delicious Spanish flavours and some off menu dishes, so you know you’re in for a real treat. The menu changes every week, so keep your eyes on their Instagram story to see what’s on offer. 

El Planta | Fish Lane, South Brisbane

El Planta is the spot to go if you want to impress your vegan or vego friends. Their constantly changing (but always plant based) menu showcases a range of seasonal Mexican flavours, all for just $40 per person. Talk about a win-win for your taste buds and your wallet!

Fat Cow | James St, Fortitude Valley

Fatcow is offering a flavoursome feast from 11am to 4pm on Monday to Thursday every week. Their famous 270+ day grain fed Black Angus Rump Cap is on the menu, along with other favourites including spiced yogurt tartare with caviar and brioche, and seared Scallops. 

Mexicali | Bulimba

Mexicali is the perfect spot for the ultimate rooftop fiesta. With two set menus at $39 or $59 per person, they have options for everyone. If you’re feeling cheeky, why not add one of their bottomless drink packages onto any banquet to really get the party going. 

Happy Boy | Fortitude Valley

We’re about to get a whole lot happier, because Happy Boy is offering their Chef’s Banquet for just $50 per person. Happy Boy’s banquet is especially exciting because their menu is not set. Let them know what you like, what you don’t like, and any dietary preferences or requirements, and they’ll provide a feast made just for you. They guarantee that no one will walk away hungry.

Chu The Phat | Fish Lane, South Brisbane

Chu the Phat never fails to deliver a top-tier Asian feast, and their banquet menu is no different. Starting at $60 per person, this menu showcases all their iconic dishes to let you get a taste of everything they have to offer. Nestled in South Brisbane’s foodie haven, Fish Lane, this banquet is spot-on for any occasion!

Hôntô | Fortitude Valley

Just because all of your friends are away in Japan at the moment, doesn’t mean you have to miss out on having top-quality Japanese food. You’ll get a taste of all of Hôntô’s iconic dishes such as their Tuna Nigiri with Masago Arare and Wasabi, Salmon Taco with Wasabi Cream and Cucumber, and Hiyashi Noodles with Chilli Eggplant XO and Burnt Nori (just to name a few). This is Japanese banquet dining at its best.

Hello Please | Fish Lane, South Brisbane

Hello Please’s banquet menu will take your taste buds on a journey across South-East Asia. With classics including Eggplant Katsu Bao, Fried Potato, Bay Lobster Dumplings, Karaage Chicken, and Steamed Barramundi, all on the menu, this Fish Lane staple is sure to hit the spot.
