The world’s most iconic cocktail, built on the simple trio of gin, vermouth and Campari, is being reimagined by some of Queensland’s best bartenders, all in support of Slow Food, a charity dedicated to building a fairer and more sustainable food system.
This year, Fish Lane will be the heart of the action for Negroni Week. More than a dozen venues across the buzzing precinct will be pouring their own riffs on the Negroni, proving that a drink this classic still has plenty of room for play. Think chocolate-infused creations, tropical coconut twists and briny bold flavours that will keep you sipping your way through the week.
One of the highlights is the Secret Handshake Art and Negroni Trail on Saturday 27 September ($95pp). Guests will wander through Fish Lane’s leafy laneway and striking red-brick architecture while discovering Negroni-inspired serves from some of the city’s most creative bars and restaurants. With public art, greenery and cocktails at every turn, this is a trail worth raising a glass to.

It is not just about the drinks either. Every Negroni sold during the week will raise money for Slow Food, supporting projects that protect biodiversity, back local producers and ensure access to good, clean and fair food for all.
“Negroni Week is more than a celebration of a great cocktail, it is about using something fun, social and delicious to make a real difference,” said Jay Lambert, Brand Ambassador for Campari. “Queensland is leading the way this year, with incredible creativity from Fish Lane venues and a strong commitment to the Slow Food cause.”
So whether you like your Negroni classic, chocolatey or kissed with coconut, this September is your chance to sip boldly and support a very good cause.
