As a staple to Aussie summer culture, The Big Bash will be coming to Brisbane on Saturday, January 8 when the Brisbane Heat takes on the Hobart Hurricanes. To shake things up, the Brisbane Heat has collaborated with MasterChef runner-up Tessa Boersma to host a unique fine dining experience!
Dinner with Tessa will be held amongst the action at The Gabba in the Champions Room, where the talented Tessa will serve up a three-course menu showcasing the epitome of Queensland summer flavours, including local produce sourced from just a few hours outside Brisbane.
The first course will be mouth-watering Mooloolaba king prawn cocktails, followed by succulent lamb shoulder with local garlic and macadamia cream, jus, broccolini, blackened tomatoes and native dukkah for the main dish and mango sorbet prepared with Queensland fruit and yoghurt mousse, roasted macadamias and toasted amaretto biscuits for sweets.
With a three-hour drinks package included, sports fans and gourmands can cheer on their favourite team, bevvy in hand. Since the event falls on the last weekend before the end of summer holidays, there could not be a more Aussie way to farewell your freedom before 2022 really gets into its swing!
