Brisbane German Club Makes Australian Beer History with Oktoberfest 2025

This October, Brisbane will pour itself into the history books as the Brisbane German Club becomes the first venue in Australia – and possibly the world – to have all six official Munich Oktoberfest breweries on tap at the same time.

For beer lovers, this is the holy grail. From Augustiner-Bräu’s time-honoured traditions to Paulaner’s modern innovation, from Löwenbräu’s bold flavour to Hacker-Pschorr’s refined craftsmanship – these brews usually require a trip to the famous tents at Theresienwiese in Munich. Even in Germany, you won’t find them all flowing under one roof.

But in 2025, you’ll find them all in East Brisbane.

Four Weekends of Beer Bliss

From Friday 3 October to Sunday 26 October, the Brisbane German Club’s iconic Oktoberfest will serve:

  • Augustiner-Bräu

  • Hacker-Pschorr-Bräu

  • Staatliches Hofbräuhaus

  • Löwenbräu

  • Paulaner Brauerei

  • Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu

Alongside the six headline acts, expect around 130 beer styles in total – 30 on tap and 100 bottled varieties, including rare gems like Weltenburger Kloster’s world-famous Dunkel.

More Than Just Beer

Oktoberfest at the Brisbane German Club is a feast in every sense:

  • Over 1,900 golden schnitzels and almost 1,000 one-kilo pork knuckles served each year

  • Sausage-eating contests, stein-holding showdowns, and keg-holding challenges

  • Live performances from the Alpenrosen dancers

  • The crowning of Mr and Mrs Oktoberfest

With more than 6,000 people coming through the doors each year – and over 15,000 litres of beer poured – the atmosphere is nothing short of electric.

A Brisbane Tradition

For 51 years, the Brisbane German Club has been the beating heart of Queensland’s German-Australian community. Its Oktoberfest is more than an event – it’s a cultural celebration, a love letter to Bavarian tradition, and now, an internationally significant beer milestone.

Tickets are on sale now – and if you want bragging rights as one of the few people in the world to taste all six official Oktoberfest beers in one spot, this is your moment.
