Best of where to eat in South Bank

Southbank Restaurants Brisbane
Catching a movie? Catching your Tinder date catching a movie with someone else? Make it your business to eat at some of the best and brightest restaurants South Bank has to offer and everything will be right in the world yet again!
OLÉ

First, we siesta, then we fiesta. Alongside jug after jug of sangria, Olé serves up classic Spanish cuisine that’s made to share – with plenty of solo substantials for the Joey Tribbianis of the world. Menu standouts include four jam-packed paellas and mariscada with hot and cold Aussie seafood and patatas bravas.

BROADWAY DINER

Forget fries, we’re eating out with a side of song and dance. This American-style diner is your one-stop shop for cheesy burgers and loaded thick shakes (and makes for the perfect Instagram photo dump). The interactive pop-up won’t be around forever, grab your closest theatre-geek bestie and get your taste of stardom.

THE TERRACE AT EMPORIUM

From brekky to post-dinner bevvies, The Terrace has everything you need – and unrivalled views of the city. Enjoy a drop from dizzying heights atop the luxe Emporium Hotel with bites like Moreton Bay bug rolls and crispy Borrowdale pork belly. Oh, and that cocktail list is something to behold.

POPOLO

Prime riverfront views and flavour-packed share plates are the name of the game at Popolo. Prepare to dig into a myriad of starters like burrata with truffle paste or classic mains like braised duck ragu pappardelle and seafood linguine. Now that’s amore.

THE CHARMING SQUIRE

Charmed, I’m sure. The Charming Squire boasts a huge space with mega flavours bursting from their casual brewhouse and elevated Embers restaurant. Make sure you try the smoky charcoal chicken with wood roasted sweet potato and broccolini with a James Squire beer brewed on-site.

COWCH

Dessert lovers, look here; dentists, look away! This dessert and cocktail bar is devoted to sweet treats with a hefty lineup including waffles, crepes, dessert pizzas, pancakes, gelato, and much more. When we head to Cowch, we like to get cosy with a fishbowl-sized dessert cocktail and work our way through the seasonal menus.

SOUTHBEACH

Spritzes, margy’s and bellinis. Southbeach does all three, and does them to perfection every time. While we came for the cocktails, it’s the coastal atmosphere and breezy menu that keeps us coming back for more. Have your stay at the city’s very own beach shack and graze away on their Aussie selection of bites.

Don’t forget a choc top from the cinemas, either!
