Yeronga Memorial Park | School Rd, Yeronga

A charming park on its own accord for those who aren’t ingrained in its history, the Yeronga Memorial Park is a lush space adorned with eucalypt groves and sprawling trees.  Established as a recreational reserve in 1882, it would become a designated Memorial Park after World War 1 – making it one of the oldest parks in Brisbane.  Its accompanying swimming pool is the perfect all-season location, with a heated enclosure, a designated kids’ wading pool, and both 25m and 50m lap options – but you’ll have to wait until the 1st August to enjoy the latter as it’s undergoing maintenance.
