Arriving at QPAC from May 16th and running until July 27th, Moulin Rouge! The Musical dares you to enter the world of the spectacular. Eye-popping excess of glitz, grandeur and glory await as the Tony Award winning adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film comes to life onstage, remixing as a new musical mash-up featuring over 70 songs, including many of the iconic hits from the film, as well as additions from Adele, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Pink and more.
And because the extravagance doesn’t have to end once the curtain closes, the magic of Moulin Rouge! The Musical continues outside of QPAC theatre with a host of inspired culinary dishes for you to enjoy with your fellow Lady Marmalades.
On Fish Lane, you can enjoy a Can-Can Chill Crab Xiao Long Bao and Montmartini at Southside; or perhaps a Red Heart Negroni at Kiki Kiosk is more to your flavouring, where you will be delighted with Four Pillars Shiraz Gin, Dolin Chambery, hibiscus and Lillet rouge, all served in a rocks glass with cubed ice, blood orange and an edible flower.
If gin, elderflower, T’Gallant Pink Moscato, lemon, sugar and grenadine with an elegant cherry garnish is more your style, then Chu The Phat can be your rhythm of the night; or if the simple elegance of Parisian luxury speaks to you best, then La Lune Wine Co. with their steak tartare and glass of La Lune chardonnay or pinot will prove the best of your Bohemian ideas.
Those over the other side of the river can indulge in a pre-show aperitif at Hotel Indigo’s pop-up bar, La Provence, where Moulin Rouge! The Musical ticket holders or those just wanting to experience a taste of Paris can enjoy a specially created menu of themed cocktails and snacks. The pop-up is open 4pm-8pm from May 20th for the season; vive la francophiles!
