BRING ON ALL THINGS BOBA 'N BUBBLES WITH BRISBANE'S BEST BUBBLE TEA

Buckle up, Brisbane. Just like the satisfyingly chewy boba pearls, Brisbane’s bubble tea scene is popping off!

We know that every Brisbanite right now is desperate for an escape from the scorching, summer heat. But what happens if you don’t have an aircon or a pool? Well, an ice cold drink is the next best thing – more specifically, bubble tea! Let’s just say if we had the option to drink the elixir of eternal youth or a cup of bubble tea, you’ll find us on our deathbed clutching a large peach tea with tapioca pearls.

MIU TEA | KELVIN GROVE

If you’re ever around the KG area, whether it be for a uni class or a stroll through Victoria Park, Miu Tea in Kelvin Grove Village is the perfect spot for a refreshing bubble tea. Their mango saigo and coconut drink is a refreshingly creamy concoction, complete with saigo balls and is the crowd favourite amongst regular visitors.

TEAFFEE | WEST END

If you’re searching for a new dessert date spot, look no further than Teaffee in West End. Their pink lemonade and pineapple hibiscus teas are the perfect option to cool off from the heat, and their iconic ice cream parfaits and mochi go hand-in-hand with their drinks – leaving you feeling sweet and satisfied.

TEA STATION | EIGHT MILE PLAINS

Did someone say fusion bubble tea and Korean inspired desserts? Tea Station in Eight Mile Plains can fulfil all your sweet treat cravings, with the option of an indulgent croffle or waffle to accompany their extensive range of bubble tea flavours and pearls. (P.S. they offer a loyalty card that’ll get you $5 off your drink for every 10 drinks purchased)!

MILKSHA | VARIOUS LOCATIONS

Hailing from a popular Taiwan bubble tea brand, Milkshop, Milksha is undoubtedly one of the best places to get bubble tea in the city. Using only premium ingredients to create their signature flavours like Japanese matcha milk and fresh taro milk, it’s a great place to start your bubble tea journey (if you haven’t already).

ADDICTEA | SOUTH BANK

Nestled in the heart of South Bank’s food and drink hub, it’s not just Addictea’s variety of flavours that are impressive. Their ultra-aesthetic interior and cozy, upstairs dining area make it the perfect place to enjoy your bubble tea, and maybe even snap a pic for Insta whilst you’re there.

COCO FRESH TEA & JUICE | BRISBANE CITY

Offering seasonal drinks as well as the classics, Coco is a popular bubble tea joint, especially amongst university students. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best days to visit, as when you purchase one drink, you get the second half price! So make sure to bring a mate, or maybe get both for yourself (we won’t judge).

MACHI MACHI | BRISBANE CITY & SUNNYBANK

Serving up a sustainable twist on bubble tea by offering a bottled option that is reusable and cute, Machi Machi has lots to offer. Not only can you try out quirky flavours and toppings like grapefruit green tea slush with cream cheese foam, but you can also smash out a study sesh as well. Their venue has plenty of desks and chairs available for you to settle down and get some studying done, (we know you’ve been avoiding it), with a bubble tea in hand.

BOBA MACHINE | VARIOUS LOCATIONS

This boba machine operates 24/7, boasts over 25 creative flavours to choose from and will have your bubble tea in your hand in 2 minutes! Not only can you indulge in flavours such as Oreo Milk Tea or Lychee Green tea, but you can customise your drink exactly to your liking – sweet, not too sweet, extra cold – you name it. With their brand new boba machine being unveiled in West Village in West End last week, it joins the growing list of locations across Brisbane and should be on every boba-lovers bucket list.

CHA TIME | VARIOUS LOCATIONS

As an established and well-loved bubble tea franchise that spans Australia-wide, Chatime has plenty of stores right here in Brisbane for you to visit. There’s a drink for everyone, with a whopping 88 enticing options on their menu, and their loyal-tea program will have you sipping up their rewards in no time.

Brisbane’s best bubble tea scene is bursting with options – so, what are you waiting for?
