We're falling for these autumn menus

No pumpkin spice detected.

It may be a few months before our favourite sweater comes out of the cupboard, but we’re taking this slight cool change and running with it! Here are our favourite seasonal menus across town…

ROGUE BISTRO | NEWSTEAD

Rogue Bistro’s six-course degustation changes monthly, and just a glimpse at the March menu has us excited…

The journey begins with bite-sized morsels like charred shishito pepper with ponzu glaze before moving onto charcoal-smoked octopus with caramelised hollandaise and fried kale, and a roasted lamb rump with honey, macadamia cream, and pickled pumpkin.

PEACH CAFE | AUCHENFLOWER

Jam doughnut French toast is just one of the additions to Peach’s autumn menu, which almost sounds too good to be true. A pink, leafy oasis, this suburban cafe knows how to satisfy at brunch time!

ONE FISH TWO FISH | KANGAROO POINT

Seafood stans, take note. One Fish Two Fish has just dropped a fresh new menu, and we’re hooked! New items include grilled bug bao buns with XO sauce and lime slaw, a classic bouillabaisse and a zesty yuzu crème brûlée. We’ll take all three, please!

NINEBAR + KITCHEN | COORPAROO

Another season, another tasty menu from this homey southside eatery!

Some friendly advice… You will absolutely regret not ordering the epic pork belly rosti, complete with sticky orange pork, house-made rosti, wilted silverbeet, poached eggs, and béarnaise sauce.

ELSKA | NEW FARM

At the start of each season, we rush to Elska to see what creations feature on their hyper-seasonal multi-course degustation, and we are NEVER disappointed… This autumn you can expect to taste intriguing flavour combos like mud crab, finger lime and coconut, bresaola, kefir milk and sea parsley, and rosella, beetroot and hibiscus.

TODD & PUP | MOOROOKA

Constantly keeping things fresh, this suburban caf changes up its menu on a seasonal basis. The pineapple lemonade whip is an absolute treat and will have you feeling like you’re sipping a pina colada at breaky, while the autumn shroom toast is full of those earthy flavours we love this time of year.

Could this underrated season be the tastiest of them all?
