Brisbane, prepare yourselves. Ghostlight Theatre Co. is back, and this time they are bringing the undead.
Opening on 7 November at EvilCorp Horror Maze in Fortitude Valley, Night of the Living Dead is set to electrify Brisbane’s theatre scene with a mix of killer comedy, cult horror and a powerhouse rock score performed live.
Based on George A. Romero’s iconic film Night of the Living Dead, this horror rock musical is far from an ordinary night at the theatre.
Expect outrageous laughs, flesh-eating zombies and an all-original soundtrack by Jordan Wolfe that delivers from start to finish. Directed by Yasmin Elahi (Evil Dead: The Musical), this Australian premiere promises a wild ride through the zombie apocalypse, with a live band, a brilliant local cast and a few surprises lurking in the shadows.
Ghostlight Theatre Co. has built a loyal following with productions that push the boundaries of traditional theatre.
With hits such as The Exorcist and the multi-extended Evil Dead, they have proven that Brisbane is hungry for more genre-bending productions, and Night of the Living Dead is no exception. Add in the semi-immersive venue of EvilCorp Horror Maze and you have a theatrical experience that is equal parts concert, comedy and campy chaos.
This show is a must for fans of horror, musicals, rock and all things weird and wonderful. Whether you are a die-hard zombie buff or simply looking for a loud, horror-filled night out, this one is for you.
