As the feel-good Broadway musical Annie takes centre stage at the Lyrical Theatre, QPAC. Opening 27 December, this acclaimed Australian musical plays for five weeks only until 31 January. It promises the perfect school holiday treat for the whole family.
Directed by Karen Johnson Mortimer and choreographed by Mitchell Woodcock, Annie has already wowed audiences in Sydney and Melbourne, and arrives in Brisbane to glowing reviews. Theatre Matters called it “a fun night out beloved for generations,” while Time Out praised its “optimism, joy and hope.”
Leading the cast is Anthony Warlow returning as Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks, with Debora Krizak as the hilarious Miss Hannigan, Mackenzie Dunn as Lily St. Regis, Keanu Gonzalez as Rooster, Amanda Lea LaVergne as Grace, and the original Yellow Wiggle, Greg Page, making his musical theatre debut as President Roosevelt.
