UPSTAIRS at Toombul
Walking in a foodie wonderland is as easy as taking an escalator to UPSTAIRS at Toombul’s dining playground! Combining quirky with cuisine, this precinct boasts everything from oyster bars to dodgem cars and a number of restaurant/cafes, including Il Gancio, Archie Brothers, Hello Harry, Niku Ramen and more! Jump on the bandwagon and kart on in soon.
Fitz + Potts
Puttin’ on the Fitz. With multiple rooms outfitted in kitsch, retro decor and a rooftop bar overlooking Sandgate Road, there’ll always be a bar stool waiting for you and your thirst. A 100% plant-based menu won’t disappoint, with everything from jaffle platters (an absolute game changer) to spicy fried puffs with sriracha aioli to juicy vEEF burgers. We’ll raise an Aussie Negroni to that.
Blockhouse
Having all of Nundah lining down the block just to watch what they got, Blockhouse puts on one heck of a foodie show with their peachy day and night offerings. By day, you can wake up with the likes of breakfast schnitzel, mushroom barley breakfast risotto and okonomiyaki, before eagerly heading back for Parisian gnocchi, honey brûlée brie and a couple of cheeky Moscow Mules. Ride it, my donkey.
Fuel & Co
Your home away from home is Fuel & Co, and their warm Queenslander vibe will have you feeling both patriotic and hungry. The place to be for breakfast and lunch offers the likes of buttermilk chicken and parmesan waffles with poached eggs, hollandaise and hot sauce, and enough acai and apple smoothies to quench your Insta-thirst.
The Village Social
Head on in, drink on up. The Village Social is Nundah’s signature dive bar, with plenty of wine, cocktails and beer on tap to catch up over. Get your burb pride on and go for Danundah with tequila, passionfruit syrup and lime, or tap into some Euro flavour with Das Haus – Jagermeister, Montenegro and cherry and orange bitters.
Chapel Park Café
This new kid on the block is teaching its elders a thing or two. Gorgeous minimalistic hotspot Chapel Park Café has eats as delicious as its aesthetic, including ham cheddar toasties with dijonaise, and seasonal acai bowls topped with fruit, chocolate Coya ice cream, granola and toasted coconut.
The Lounge Bistro
A long-time staple for locals, The Royal recently underwent a total makeover: at 127 years old, you can hardly blame the place for needing facelift! Shedding its roots as an English-style pub, the venue has a new Italian flavour, complete with an old-world lounge bar hidden next door. Cosy up with pizzas and antipasto platters while you sip on Italian inspired cocktails. Bellissimo!
Espresso Train
Now this is real feel-good food. Espresso Train works with the Nundah Community Enterprises Co-Op to provide meaningful employment for people with intellectual disabilities and mental health issues, using all proceeds to remain non-reliant on outside funding. All the food is made from scratch, including Moroccan lamb pizza with red onion, roast capsicum, and feta. Talk about food with heart!
