Everyone has dreamed up an incredible ice cream flavour they wish they could create, whether it’s inspired by the chocolate crackles at your cousins 3rd birthday party, Uncle Bob’s boozy eggnog or the peanut butter and jelly sandwich you had for lunch. Well, while you might not have had the skills to turn them into reality, Nitrogenie at Indooroopilly’s Station Road Dining precinct sure do, and they’ve created more flavours than you could ever wish for. Including all of the above.
Like a mad science experiment that actually worked, Nitrogenie jazz up your typical ice cream experience by using liquid nitrogen in the creation of their creamy concoctions. Whether you call it science or magic, it creates fluffy, creamy ice cream that tastes like the stuff dreams are made of.
Not only are Nitrogenie the answer to our ice cream wishes with their magical creations, they also tick our mum’s boxes with only real ingredients going into their treats, including fresh eggs and cream to create the base and then real food ingredients for flavours. No strange numbers and unpronounceable ingredients here!
Nitrogenie have come up with over 65 wild and wonderful flavours, but you don’t have to somehow choose from all 65, as only six are chosen to feature in store each week – to make the decision easier. Once you’ve made your choice (still a challenge), the Nitro-genies take their creamy base and add mix-ins for funky flavours like chocolate crème egg, British banoffee pie, triple choc brownie and Turkish fairy floss. Once everything is all well and truly combined, liquid nitrogen is used to freeze the cream in super swift time, making a show you can eat with a deliciously smooth result. Whether you want the final creation in a cup, cone, shake or between brioche buns for a Nitroburger, you’ll be hooked after one frozen bite.
Also run by the geniuses behind Nitrogenie is the infamous Harajuku Gyoza. The Japanese dumpling and beer bar is just the place to get in a feed before dessert and for your convenience and satisfaction, they are both located within footsteps of each other at Indooroopilly’s Station Road Dining.
Nitrogenie is open from 3pm-9.30 pm Monday to Friday and 1pm-9.30pm on weekends.

Keeping the G&G up to date with all the latest tasty tidbits requires a lot of double lattes and espresso martinis, so we occasionally need to give out some sponsored love. But rest assured that we only work with businesses that we think are really nifty, as the sponsor for this post is!
