5 Boroughs brings the Big Apple to Ascot

In the never-ending battle between Brisbane’s north and south side food scenes, one delicious south side venue has decided there shouldn’t be a battle at all, and gone and opened up a north side spot to ensure that neither side of the river misses out on their epic feeds. After bringing a taste of the Big Apple to Stones Corner just last year, 5 Boroughs are introducing Ascot to their hand crafted burgers and New York street foods. You’ll find more than just their infamous criss cross chips and crispy chicken karaage wings here though, with a whole new 5B experience on offer – including a chilled out garden bar overlooking Racecourse Road and some classic cocktails to pair with their feeds. 5 boroughs ascot 2 While their hefty, two-hands-necessary burgers are still on the menu, along with bites like steamy gyoza, fish tacos and sliders, this 5 Boroughs is all about low and slow cooked American BBQ. Feast on saucy baby back pork ribs, tender beef brisket and melt-in-your-mouth beef short ribs, with daily BBQ specials to have you coming back for more each and every week. Paired with cheesy bacon fries, ale battered onion rings or a side of house made minted slaw, this is one meal you really want to ‘meat.’ But don’t worry vegos and vegans – there’s a delicious black bean burger with your name on it. Better still, you can now pair their Manhattan inspired feeds with a cocktail or five, out in their leafy garden bar. Match moreish duck pancakes with a spiked iced tea, golden crab cakes with a New York Cosmo, or just take your pick from their lineup of craft beers, top shelf spirits and Australian wines. We’re already imagining the pre- and post-race day drinking sessions we’ll be having when racing season rolls round – we’ll be the ones in the corner in the floral stretchy pants. 5 boroughs ascot 3 Whether you’re already their biggest fan, a north side resident ready to get your hands on some saucy ribs or just a Racecourse Road regular planning your next Friday night feed, you’ll find the new 5 Boroughs at 120 Racecourse Road, Ascot, open 7 days a week.
