Meat Brisbane’s newest food truck: Mr Burger

You could say that Brisbane is having a bit of a love affair with burgers. It’s getting serious, like meet-the-parents, let’s-start-talking-about-the-future serious. But being such a sneaky, food-loving city, she also has a pretty good thing going with food trucks. Don’t worry, there’s no need to pick sides. We’ve found the perfect way to avoid any soap opera levels of drama, and that’s with Brisbane’s newest offering to both worlds, Mr Burger Brisbane. Hailing from Melbourne, Mr Burger is taking their bright orange truck to the streets of our fine city, kindly offering up their cult-followed feeds. There’s nothing fancy about these guys. Simple yet delicious burgers is where its at, exactly how it should be. Take your pick from a line-up of six burgers, all equally tasty in their own right, then add a side of chips. But what chips should you add? You could stick to the classics, like their famous chips served with cajun salt.

Feeling a little adventurous, or want to make your cheat day a real doozy? There’s the legendary trucker chips, smothered in three kinds of American cheese, topped with crispy diced bacon and Mr Burger’s top-secret trucker sauce. Or, for a limited time, get your hands on the pizza chips, smothered in pizza sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms and cheese sauce.

But don’t start counting calories just yet. There’s no better way to wash that burger down than with an old-school milkshake. With peanut butter and jam, double chocolate, or our pick, the ginger-caramel cookie shake, you’ll be speaking with a thick American drawl before you take your last slurp.
