
We’re pretty sure that when Elvis sang ‘Love me tender…’, he wasn’t talking about fried chicken, but for us, there’s nothing we love more than a good meal of crispy chicken tenders and golden fries to dip into garlic aioli – so the fluoro lit quote on the wall of Paddington’s new Winner Winner is pretty apt to us.
A new venue from Luke Stringer and Ashleigh Bates (ex Ole Group), Winner Winner is all about chicken – fried chicken, to be exact. There’s no beef, no pork, no fish – just delicious, tender chicken in every style you can think of. Plus plenty of American style sides, of course.
You can get chicken tenders, chicken wings, chicken drumsticks, chicken thighs, chicken burgers or even the whole darn bird, with either a little or a lot of spice depending on your preference. Get them on their own or piled into a combo box with sides like shoestring fries, sweet potato chips, slaw, corn on the cob or even more chicken in the form of chicken bites – it really is all about the chicken here.
If you’ve got some room left after all the fried goodness, you can finish things off with an old school sundae, piled with vanilla ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauce, wafers and a cherry on top. Wash everything down with an ice cold beer, cider or glass of wine and you have one finger licking good feast!
