Sushi burritos and poke bowls have landed in South Bank!

Our Instagrams have been looking a little dull lately. We’ve snapped pictures of rainbow grilled cheese, expertly placed filters over deconstructed coffees, and uploaded hundreds of pictures of acai bowls. But after working our way through every trendy food we can find, we’re lost for words (and food). Thank the Instagram gods that a new South Bank restaurant is about to bring not one, but TWO of the hottest food trends of 2017. Opening its doors on Tuesday 18th April, SUKI will be dishing up special poke bowls and sushi burritos. Poke bowls, a fish salad originating from the Aloha state, is looking to be the hottest and healthiest food trend this year. Packed with proteins and nutrients, and filled with vibrant colours, this dish is good for both your body and your Instagram followers. Their sushi burritos – sushi rolls with a twist – are the perfect joining of cultures and flavours. Trust us, one look at these rolls and you’ll be saying #nofilterneeded. If their delicious pre-made bowls or burritos don’t fit with your Instagram colour scheme, customise your order in an easy six step process. Choose your base, protein, sauce, vegetables, and garnishes for something you’d be proud to put on your Insta-story. SUKI will be dishing up their meals seven days a week, so you can eat and ‘gram something different every day. You can find your happy place at SUKI at 182 Grey St, South Bank from 11am til late, seven days a week. This is definitely #foodporn. Words by Kate Stevens
