Brisbane, you’re gonna need to sip down: this news is big. To celebrate the grand opening of Montrachet’s new digs, Bowen Hills is about to host the city’s first Champagne Laneway.
Oh. Mon. Dieu.
Set to sweep us off our feet on Saturday 9 December (and into a croissant and champagne coma, FYI), the Montrachet Champagne Laneway will take place just ‘round the corner from King Street’s foodie precinct, where Montrachet’s doors will open in early December.
Look, if we had a spirit animal, it’d be champagne. It’s elegant, bubbly, and almost always drunk at parties. Sadly for us, we’re usually forced to duck ‘round to the Prosecco aisle, so champers is a rare, usually NYE-reserved tipple. #alwayswaitingforpayday
The best news about the Montrachet Champagne Laneway? Entry tickets are only $49pp, and along with canapés and a glass of NV Louis Roederer Premier Brut on arrival, you’ll explore twelve different champagnes at seriously reduced price tags. Please hold all applause to the end of the article.
If that doesn’t have you sold (you have no soul), you’ll also discover a world of pastries, baguettes, éclairs … um, pretty much an Eiffel tower’s worth of carbs. Go forth and buy tickets.
Hey – no champagne, no gain, right?
