If you’ve already heard “what are we doing today?” on repeat, here’s one answer. For one weekend only, Wittonga Park in The Gap (the actual Brisbane park from Bluey’s Cricket episode) is becoming a free Bluey-inspired playground.
Play the Bluey Way runs Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September, with appearances from Bluey and Bingo and a line-up that’ll be very familiar to anyone who’s spent serious time in front of the Heeler family: Keepy Uppy, Toilet Tag, Dance Mode and, of course, cricket.

Play Cricket Where Bluey Did
🏏 Cricket: This is the big one. Cricket Australia will run batting, bowling and catching sessions before families join a friendly game inspired by Rusty’s match in Cricket… on the same grounds featured in the episode.
🎈 Keepy Uppy: Grab a balloon. Don’t let it touch the ground. Try not to become more invested than your children.
🏃 Toilet Tag: One of the Heelers’ games is leaving the screen for the weekend, with the whole family invited to play.
🪩 Dance Mode: The main stage will host live performances and special appearances from Bluey and Bingo. Best moves encouraged.
📸 Find the Long Dog: There’s now a permanent Bluey mural painted on the actual rebound wall featured in Cricket. Called That’s What Cricket’s About, Kid!, it features scenes inspired by the show…, plus a hidden long dog for fans to find.

Parking is limited in the surrounding streets and nearby car parks. The 382 bus stops directly outside Wittonga Park, and organisers recommend allowing extra travel time.
