The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is officially returning from 18 September to 5 October 2026, and this year’s celebration is shaping up to be the biggest bloom yet.
After a record-breaking 2025 season that welcomed more than 511,000 visitors and pumped $31.3 million into Queensland’s economy, Toowoomba is proving once again why it remains Australia’s most iconic floral destination.
Now entering its 77th year, the beloved festival is back with 80+ events and experiences set to transform the Garden City into a springtime playground of flowers, food and festivities.
Blooms, Bites and Big Spring Energy
While the floral displays remain the heart of the Carnival, the 2026 program is leaning harder than ever into flavour filled experiences and immersive events. Returning to the lineup is the hugely popular FEASTival, bringing together renowned chefs, live cooking demos, artisan markets across two indulgent days.
What’s new for 2026? Sideshow Alley is getting bigger than ever, expanding to 10 days of carnival rides, games and family friendly entertainment for all ages.
The Parks Are the Heart of It All
At the centre of the festivities, Queens Park Botanic Gardens and Laurel Bank Park will once again be transformed into the kind of floral displays that stop people mid stride and reach for their camera. This year, visitors can dig deeper with Behind the Blooms and Twilight Tours, giving a real look at the craft and creativity behind those mass plantings.
