What’s On
Plants Galore
You’ll step into Plants Galore, a botanical wonderland at the Queensland Garden Show featuring the most extensive range of plants you’ll find anywhere in Queensland, all in one place, with a full mix of colour, texture, and scent from dozens of nurseries. Tucked throughout the pavilions, you’ll also find rare and unusual plants that make every corner feel exciting to explore. Growers are there the whole time, happy to help you figure out what plants will grow well in your space and how to look after them once you take them home.
GROW Kitchen Garden
Want to start a sustainable garden at home while also doing something good for the environment? The GROW Kitchen Garden is the place to be. Here, you get to explore a fully working kitchen garden that shows sustainable food growing in real time. Instead of just hearing about composting, water-wise systems, and seasonal planting, you actually see how it all comes together in practice.
Experts guide you through each section and break it down in a super simple way, showing how small changes at home can turn into a productive, eco-friendly garden. It is all about making sustainable gardening feel easy and achievable.
Free Plant Clinic
If something in your garden isn’t thriving, the Free Plant Clinic is where answers begin. You can bring photos, samples, or descriptions of plant issues, and specialists will help diagnose the problem. From pests or diseases to nutrient deficiencies, advice is practical and tailored.. You leave with clearer direction and a better understanding of how to care for your plants moving forward.
Floral Design Competition
In collaboration with the Floral Art Society of Queensland, the Floral Art Group’s annual competition returns this year to the Queensland Garden Show. Entrants are given a yearly theme and compete across set classes, pushing their design skills to create eye-catching arrangements under strict criteria. Visitors can explore the freshest, most intricate works on display across the three-day event, celebrating creativity in full bloom. If you’re interested in taking part, find out more here.
Just for Kids
Kids can step into their own version of the show through hands-on gardening and nature-based activities designed to be fun and interactive. They’ll plant, create, and explore in ways that make learning feel like play. The space is designed so families can enjoy the day together. With free entry for children 15 and under, it’s an easy and welcoming family outing.
There are many more experiences waiting to be discovered across this three-day spectacular garden event, from hidden nurseries to surprise demonstrations and inspiring displays tucked throughout the grounds. You’re encouraged to wander, explore, and let the show unfold naturally at your own pace, because every path leads to something new. Find out more.
