Inspired by Lionsgate’s blockbuster Now You See Me film franchise, the large-scale production reimagines the world of the ‘Four Horsemen’ for live performance, plunging audiences into the high-stakes illusion in real time. What audiences once watched through clever editing and visual effects now unfolds just metres away, with nowhere for the impossible to hide.
At the heart of the show is a world-class ensemble of illusionists drawn from across the globe. American magician Adam Trent leads with a sleek, modern approach, fusing cutting-edge technology with masterful sleight of hand. Spain’s Pablo Cánovas brings a sense of classical prestige, his work earning him international accolades, including ‘Golden Magician’ and ‘Magician D’Or’. Italian escape artist Andrew Basso raises the pulse with death-defying feats, having become the youngest Italian to win the World Escape Championship. Completing the quartet is Canadian illusionist Gabriella Lester, the youngest and only female Horseman, who mastered Houdini’s upside-down straight-jacket escape at just 14.
For QPAC Chief Executive Rachel Healy, the production represents the evolution of summer entertainment. “The next summer blockbuster is breaking out of the cinema and onto the stage,” she says. “With the awe-inspiring cast and creative teams behind it, this is guaranteed to be a breathtaking event.”
The live production offers fans something no screen can replicate: risk, tension and wonder that exist only in the moment.
No edits. No second takes. Just magic, happening live here
