Midtown’s Champagne Day: Luxury Served With a Side of Mischief

And then there’s Friday, October 24, when Midtown turns Fish Lane into a Champagne-soaked playground. For one glittering evening, the bar will mark Global Champagne Day with a celebration that balances elegance and mischief in perfect harmony.

From 4pm, live music will set the rhythm as flutes clink and conversation spills into the laneway. And forget stiff tasting menus, this one’s all about indulgence with attitude. $3 Tasmanian oysters? Check. Laurent-Perrier by the bottle? Obviously. 

And then there’s the caviar lineup that breaks every rule in the book. Spanish Siberian Sturgeon Baerii served by the tin like royalty, lobster toast shimmering with pearls, beef tartare balanced on fried cassava, and the star of everyone’s Instagram story…..chicken nuggets topped with caviar.

It’s the kind of menu that winks while it spoils you. “Champagne Day is about celebrating life’s finer things,” says chef-owner Daniel Miletic. “At Midtown, we like to pair that with a sense of play.”
