Fast forward ten years, and they are celebrating their milestone birthday with a flagship store at Westfield Chermside, their 15th restaurant, the first ever inside a Westfield centre, and a whole new look for the brand.
Forget the classic blue and white. Their new store has been designed by Alkot Studio (yes, the same minds behind Emme, Comuna Cantina, Joey’s), and it’s rocking rose-pink walls, bleached timber, framed family photos and splashes of sunny yellow. It’s modern, warm and the perfect backdrop for the real star: the food.
The menu has had a glow-up, too. All proteins are now cooked souvla style over flame (basically healthier, juicier, tastier), and they’ve also added some fun newbies: the Greek Fried Chicken and a tangy Mykonos Mustard Mayo Chicken Yiros. Tradition meets twist in the best way possible, and you’re going to want it all.
And because no opening is complete without a party, 24 September will see $5 yiros all day, live music, giveaways and more.
Founder, Nick puts it best: “We built this brand one pita at a time.” And ten years later, they’re just getting started.
