Ekpe is home to Queensland’s very first Activate Games Sport Arena, a next-gen playground that blends infrared devices, augmented reality visuals, glowing LED grids, and strategic challenges for an hour of non-stop action. Hosting its themed rooms, each a mini mission designed to get you moving, you’ll find yourself ducking, dodging, sprinting, and laughing your way through a variety of immersive challenges. There’s Laser, where you must move from one side of the room to the other while dodging lasers; Grid, where multiple different games meet AR and light-up floors; Eyes, a dimly lit trust-and-betrayal test of nerve; and Hoops, where you can show off your aim arcade-style. It’s active fun, dialled all the way up.
Sessions run for a full 60 minutes across all rooms, and whether you’re zig-zagging, strategising, or going all in on speed, you’ll be in motion the entire time. Non-members can play for $59, while members get the same access for just $39 – and here’s the kicker – to celebrate their grand opening, the first few hundred memberships are completely free. You’d better sign up fast.

Every three months, they host the Activate Champions Cup, a high-energy tournament with cash prizes and serious bragging rights.
