Ekka, but make it fancier with Emporium’s five-star flair

Skip the crowd but keep the strawberries, because this Ekka season, the team at the Emporium hotel is bringing the strawberries to South Bank, with a side of rooftop views and five-star flair.

From 1st August to 17th August, Emporium is transforming your favourite strawberry classics to gourmet desserts and cocktails, and this is something you would want to dress up for.

Downstairs, Belle Epoque’s pastry cabinet will be stacked with Ekka-inspired showstopping strawberry treats, ranging from Strawberry Éclair filled with elderflower and vanilla cream ($11.50) to La Fraise, with white chocolate mousse, red velvet sponge and strawberry compote ($14). You can also expect some strawberry pistachio & vanilla tart, cheesecake and more… all under $15, full of flavour and perfectly prepped for your camera roll.

But if you are more into sipping your sweets instead, then head up to level 21 to The Terrace, at any time of the day or night, to enjoy the SideShow Sundae, think of an alcoholic ice cream sundae, with vanilla liqueur ice-cream, strawberry liqueur syrup, strawberries, toasted nuts and a Bertie Beetle for $25, or if you prefer non boozy but still boujee, try Best In Show, Emporium’s take on a non-alcoholic cocktail made with NON 5 lemon marmalade & hibiscus sparkling and strawberry gum cordial for $16.
