Pop on your sunhat and mark the group chat: the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is back for its 76th year, blooming brighter than ever from 12 September to 6 October 2025.
That’s four fabulous flower-filled weekends with everything you love – petals, parades, parties, picnics, and now… four brand-new signature events! Whether you’re a garden lover, a foodie, or just here to frolic in the flowers, this year’s Carnival is shaping up to be a real showstopper, drawing in a massive crowd of half a million to Queensland’s very own Garden City.
Of course, the stars of the show are still the stunning parks and gardens – think Queens Park Botanic Gardens and Laurel Bank Park in full bloom. It’s the ultimate backdrop for flower frolicking, those all-important ‘grammable snaps, and long, lazy strolls. And with the fresh lineup of new events on the cards, there’s now even more reason to stick around all month long (locals, we’re looking at you, too). Here’s what we know for sure:
WEEKEND ONE: FLORAL FESTIVITIES (12–14 SEPTEMBER)
Carnival 2025 kicks off Friday, 12 September, with a brand-new community celebration: Floral Friday. Don those florals and get amongst it, as schools, shops, and streets across Toowoomba will be bursting with blooms and good vibes.
Then on Saturday, they’ll be levelling up with the Lawn Party – Toowoomba’s most elegant new affair. Think florals (see a theme here?), fizz, and fabulous times in a garden setting you’ll want to live in. Tickets drop on 1 July, and trust us, this one’s going to sell fast.
WEEKEND TWO: PARADES & PUPS (19–21 SEPTEMBER)
This Saturday happens to be the legendary Grand Central Floral Parade, and entries are open now to participate – so get in quick!
Sunday brings paws and petals together for the cutest event ever – the Paw Parade in Queens Park. And don’t forget the classic Carnival fun across the weekend: Ferris wheel spins, sideshow games, twilight garden tours, foodie walks and more.
WEEKEND THREE: FEASTIVAL (27–28 SEPTEMBER)
FEASTival makes its delicious debut this weekend – a new parkland party of eats, treats, and sweet beats. Bring your picnic rug and your appetite to Queens Park for a day of local flavours, live music and family-friendly fun.
Tickets hit the table on 1 July – save the date, foodies.
WEEKEND FOUR: WEEKEND TABLE (3–6 OCTOBER)
They’re going out in style with The Weekend Table – a brand new series of long-table breakfasts, brunches, lunches, and dinners all around Toowoomba. Local chefs, local produce, and stunning spring settings to enjoy them all with – what’s not to love?
And don’t miss Cake Date on Saturday 4 October: an indulgent celebration of cake and connection. Come for a slice, stay for the sugar coma.
From 12 September to 6 October 2025, Toowoomba is in full bloom – and you’re invited.
The iconic Queens Park Botanic Gardens and Laurel Bank Park are your go-to picnic and posing spots all Carnival long. Private gardens open from 19 September, and those famous foodie tours return on weekends one and two – wine, cocktails, craft beer and more.
