Sport is back, baby! The NRL has been playing for a few rounds now, and the AFL kicks off again tonight to the delight of footy fans across the country. While the likelihood of getting into the Gabba to watch the Lions play is pretty slim at the moment, the Piney is far and away the next best thing. It’s got taps and taps of the good stuff, a dedicated steakhouse and plenty of screens showing your favourite sports. This Brisbane stalwart has had a few punters through its doors in its 150-year history… And it somehow gets better every time.

If you were to rank Brisbane’s most iconic pubs based on location, the Plough Inn would come up trumps every dang time. Not only is this beauty positioned smack in the middle of South Bank, it has a spectacular beer garden that always has the footy playing, live music blasting, and a wickedly good kitchen pumping out pub classics.

What do you get when you combine an American-style sports bar and a Bavarian beer hall? The CBD’s hottest new wing joint is set to reopen next Wednesday, June 17 to the cheers of crowds (us included). Screening every sport under the sun live and loud across the venue, the only thing missing is a bib for those wangs!
