Suburban Foodies: Holland Park

Holland Park isn’t just a suburb for wholesome barbecues with neighbours - it’s also the home of some tip-top cafés and restaurants.

Holland who? Park yourself in this up-and-coming suburb to explore some of the tastiest suburban bites in town! We suggest turning it into a day-long excursion, because you’ll be hopping from café to café from morning to afternoon.

The Rare Pear | 2/967 Logan Rd

Known to attract Holland Park natives every weekend, this cozy café does not joke around when it comes to plating up some seriously delicious food. Start the day off right with pork belly on waffles to satisfy that savoury-sweet craving, or opt for their bulgogi burger served with kimchi and chips for a little taste of Korea. It’s hard to look past their glass cabinet filled with freshly baked goodies, perfect to take home, or devour on the spot (let’s be real…).

Stomp Espresso | 109 Holland Rd

This cute corner café will be sure to lure you in, both with its friendly neighbourhood vibes and serious breakfast fare. Stomp over and choose from the likes of apple and cinnamon pancakes with maple syrup and vanilla ice cream, or corn and zucchini fritters with field mushrooms, grilled halloumi, poached egg and dill horseradish cream. This is all to be enjoyed between sips of delicious caffeinated cuppas to get you through the morning.

Deedot Coffee House | 1/973 Logan Rd

Speaking of really good coffee, Deedot is also one that needs to be added to your southside go-to list for that caffeine fix. Having built a loyal following since its opening, this café will make you feel as though you’re sipping on coffee all in the comfort of your own backyard. The menu features breakfast options with a twist (breakfast pizza, anyone?), alongside delish lunch. For those who have a hard time waking up early, you’ll be pleased to know that both breakfast and lunch are available all day long – we got you, sis.

Three Brews Bar & Kitchen | 2/973 Logan Rd

After finishing up at Deedot Coffee House, make your way next door to the older and more mature sister that is Three Brews Bar & Kitchen. The suburban boozer provides good vibes to accompany those much-needed afternoon drink with pals, served alongside a tapas-style menu. Dig into porcini and sage arancini, steamed bao buns, or halloumi chips. Throw it all back with a classic mojito, or opt for a beer from their extensive list.

Thai Flavour Restaurant | 973 Logan Rd

There’s nothing quite as satisfying as downing an authentic Thai green curry on a Friday night, and Thai Flavour Restaurant really hits the spot. To anyone who can call this family-owned eatery their local Thai, you should count yourself lucky. Bursting with flavour, the food is something worth raving about. Try it for yourself and get ready to feast!

We’re coming for you Holland Park, and there’s no stopping us.
