Don’t noodle around—the Night Noodle Markets are back!

Sure, Good Food Month’s a thrill, but we’re here for Good Nood Month.

Running nightly from Wednesday, July 24 to Sunday, August 4, Good Food Month’s Night Noodle Markets will be dishing up all things saucy, slurpy, spicy, and soupy from 5pm on weekdays, and 4pm on weekends.

Read on for our picks of what to splash your cash (we mean, card… the whole event is going cashless this year!) on at this year’s Night Noodle Markets, and prepare to see mie goreng crazy at South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt for everything in a bowl, on a stick, and laden in authentic Asian flavours!

The fancy

Korean BBQ tacos | Poklol

Juicy bulgogi beef (or chilli chicken or pork) loaded up with pickled carrot, cucumber kimchi slaw, fresh and fried shallots, and spicy mayo? The only thing that could make that mouthful more enticing would be to wrap it all in a taco—and Poklol’s gone and done it!

KFC puffle | Puffle

If you’re curious about puffles, now’s the time to try! Puffle’s sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken goes perfectly inside their cheesy puffle, topped with Kewpie mayo and fresh shallots!

Inihaw na mais | Hoy Pinoy

It’s not all about the fried chicken and succulent pork at the Night Noodle Markets—there’s plenty of veggie action too, like Hoy Pinoy’s grilled corn on the cob with cheese glaze and kornik (crispy puffed corn).

Tom yum tots | Bao Brothers

The crunchy potato babies you know and love, loaded with the sweet and sour perfection of tom yum flavours in the form of mayo, plus fresh chilli and coriander!

The classic

Osaka noodles | Donburi Station

Noodles they promise, and noodles we’ll eat! The classic flavours of Osaka-style noodles, with their slightly sweet, slightly spicy, and definitely slurpable sauciness are a must-grab, and you can have yours with pork, chicken, or veggies.

Steamed duck buns | Chu the Phat

You know them, you love them, you can’t duckin’ get enough of Chu’s duck buns! So soft they seem to defy physics and filled with tender, master-stock braised duck, a few of these quacky snackies never go astray.

Roasted duck Hokkien noodles | Wok Master

Duck us up, Wok Master—preferably with the stir-fried Hokkien noodles jam-packed with roasted duck and house-made XO sauce!

Chicken karaage | Raijin

Would you look at the legs on that! Fried chicken is good in any language, but Raijin’s version of deep-fried, juicy chicken thighs with simple salad, soy-seaweed mayo, and pickled ginger is one good-looking bird.

The sweet

Brazo De Messina | Gelato Messina

They’ve done it again! Messina’s special dessert for this year’s Night Noodle Markets features pandan coconut gelato and condensed milk custard nestled between a shortbread crust base and baked meringue top—pan-dayum!

Nai Wong Bao | Wonderbao

A classic Chinese dessert, imagine the perfectly fluffy exterior of a char siu bao, but stuffed with a sweet, buttery custard! We’ll take three, please.

Black Panda | Waffleland

Get your hot, fresh waffles! Waffleland is covering theirs in maple syrup and black sesame, with strawberries and ice cream an “optional” extra.

With so many options at this year’s Night Noodle Markets, you’ll have to get strategic and use your noodle!
