Not that you need an excuse to order one (or three), but National Margarita Day makes for the perfect occasion. We’ve gathered some spots that you can hit up on Saturday, February 22 for a great fiesta in honour of cheeky margies. You’re welcome!
El Camino Cantina | Bowen Hills
Camino Cantina is shakin’ and mixin’ things up on National Margarita Day! Head to this Tex-Mex beauty to create your own personalised margarita by mixing and matching two of the restaurant’s frozen margarita flavours. If a strawberry and mango margarita doesn’t get you excited, then we don’t know what will. We should issue a pre-warning that a brain-freeze will very much be on the agenda from throwing it back too quickly!
Pepe’s Mexican | Newmarket
It ain’t a fiesta unless there’s tequila involved, and Pepe’s Mexican can definitely vouch for that. Spreading the great Mexican vibes around town, Pepe’s is adding a little pizzazz on National Margarita Day to celebrate this beautiful concoction. Gather the amigos and enjoy their specialty margaritas, including mango, coconut and prickly pear for $16 and fill up on a huge Mexican feast, all while swaying to the live mariachi band!
The Defiant Duck | Newstead
Being the loyal and caring friend that it is, The Defiant Duck won’t let you drink on an empty stomach this National Margarita Day. Start your Saturday night with all your margie enthusiasts, and make your way to this Newstead favourite from 6pm to 8pm for a two-hour sesh consisting of delicious margaritas, and scrumptious tacos!
Osbourne Hotel | Fortitude Valley
There’s a margarita out there who’s thinking about you too, and it’s most likely waiting for you at the Osbourne Hotel. Teaming up with their pals at Tequila Herradura, the Osbourne is bringing you the killer trio of tequila, tacos and the Mad Mariachi on Saturday, February 22. You better come with a bucket full of energy, with marg specials, Mexican bites and a flippin’ mariachi band to see you through the night!
Riverland | CBD
If there’s one thing Riverland nails every time, it’s pouring endless drinks for a great party, and National Margarita Day will be no exception! Join them on Saturday, February 22 and indulge in eight different margarita flavours, along with six frozen margaritas on the menu. If that’s not satisfying enough for you, you can upgrade to their bottomless frozen margarita package for $39pp, with Kitchen Kash that you can spend at their container kitchen for some delish bites!
Cloudland | Fortitude Valley
Cloudland isn’t just celebrating Margarita Day – they’re doing Margarita Month with Herradura Tequila! Head in on Friday, February 28 for samples of agave, watermelon and passionfruit margaritas, before choosing a full-sized version of your fave! Tickets are $20 and available here.
Stokebar Q | South Bank
Celebrate in style at Stokehouse Q from Thursday, February 20 through to Sunday, February 23 with three bespoke cocktails made for the occasion! Mix things up with an Aussie margarita of Australian-made Volando blanco tequila, Cointreau, and finger lime pearls or grab a grapefruit spicy marg with 1800 reposado tequila, pink grapefruit juice, and a tincture of agave, basil, jalapeños, green tobacco and pepper – spicy!
