Weaving through the Valley is a whole new world of food and frivolity at California Lane, a troppo laneway that’s set to fuel both your midday and midnight shenanigans (New York Slice better brace its ovens).
Coordinates-wise, you’ll find yourself cruising down Cali Lane between Brunswick and McLachlan Streets. Trust us, you’ll know you’re there once your eyes (or iPhone cameras) lock with a flock of plastic flamingos, neon signs and perfectly pastel walls.
You might already be familiar with some of the lanes longstanding favourites, so props to you for being ahead of the pack! If Reverends Fine Coffee and Bar, Fat Dumpling and Doughlord ring any bells, that’s Cali, baby.
Keep your eyes open for a new crew that’ll be one-two-stepping into their rightful spot on the budding laneway, including the likes of King Tiki – a beautifully boozy bar opening inside Crown & Co. Barber, Not Another Salon – not just another salon, and The Stand – a juice, dessert and cocktail bar.
