Miso Hapi
Don’t be misled by the sushi train set up – while there is an abundance of tasty nigiri and fresh sashimi on offer, the ramen is what will have the locals talking. These surprisingly deep bowls of noodles come laden with tofu or pork belly, in three different broths (miso, soy or slow cooked pork bone broth), meaning that even the vegan, vegetarian and pork-averse communities are catered for. There’s also the option to add extra egg, tofu or pork, and for anyone who likes their ramen more fiery, they mean business when you ask for it hot!
If you’re not a noodle fan, the sushi and Japanese side dishes are more than appetising, with favourites like okonomiyaki, avocado chips, lotus root chips and karaage to order alongside your teriyaki chicken sushi and salmon nigiri. And if you’ve accidentally made your ramen too spicy, you can cool down with some green tea or black sesame ice cream.
