Lotus Cafe

So thoroughly tucked away in Springfield you’d only know about it if you live right on top, Lotus Cafe is a bit of a hidden gem dishing up some of the best breakfast fare south of the Logan Motorway, if not north of it too. With an ecclectic fit out combining astroturf, quirky antiques and bright stools, the cafe is a perfect spot for weekend hangs.

The menu is just as creative as you’d expect from any inner city cafe, with morning eats like sweet bircher muesli with poached pear and berries, pulled pork eggs benedict with deliciously tender pork and a paleo breakfast salad for healthy types. For lunch, you can’t go past the soft shelled crab burger – unless it’s too tuck into lamb flatbread with an iced creme brûlée on the side.
