Gambaro Seafood Restaurant
From humble beginnings as a fish and chip in 1953 (60 years ago! Mind: blown), Gambaro’s has become one of Brisbane’s best seafood restaurants. Three generations of Gambaro’s now run the place, and on any given night you’ll find John Gambaro himself flaming up crepe Suzette for dessert on his roaming trolley.
With an exceptional seasonal a la carte menu boasting the freshest local produce this iconic seafood destination has been a longtime favourite of Brisbane foodies. Tear into decadent share plates of roast split king prawns with tomato and olive salad, or a refreshing tuna tartare with raspberries. But save room for the main event! Crayfish, mud crabs and their fellow crustaceous friends take pride of place on this extensive menu. It’s no wonder that from its humble beginning this ambitious seafood pilgrimage will always be a favourite.
