But we all know that biggest (and tastiest) has got to be their food – and you can get a taste of it without leaving Brisbane! On Thursday 20^th May at 6pm, Algester Sports Club is putting on a celebration of all things low ‘n’ slow with their big American BBQ Night. Double Barrel BBQ, one of Australia’s top competition barbecue teams, will be firing up your night with their meatiest creations and tastiest sides. It would be an absolute mis-steak to miss out on the build-your-own barbecue plate option, but we must warn you – the steaks will be pretty high when you try to choose between Texas style brisket, pork belly, pulled pork, smoked chicken, hot link sausages, buffalo wings and beef short ribs. You’ll also have the chance to say ‘nice to meat ya’ll’ to coleslaw, potato salad, hot and creamy mac ‘n’ cheese, loaded fries and crumbed jalapeno mac and cheese bites.
