Bringing a bit of California cool to 192 Ann Street in the CBD, this casual eatery from the group behind Bar Pacino and Metropole Bar Eatery is all about carefree, beachside vibes, even if it is in the heart of the city. Dishing up classic breakfasts, pizza, pasta, burgers and drinks, it’s a colourful spot for weekday lunches, post-work feeds and weekend tipples, with booth seating reminiscent of beach huts and a colourful mural to brighten up the grey CBD location.

Venture in with your crew and you’ll can start off with entrees like antipasto platters, arancini balls and lemon pepper calamari, while you share a Pimm’s jug or drink one of their Santa Monica inspired cocktails all to yourself. Once you’re feeling nice and mellow, you can tuck into pasta dishes like beef cheek pappardelle, pizzas, or one of their signature burgers, alongside cheese and bacon fries or pulled pork BBQ fries piled with sauce toppings. Of course, if it’s too early for any of that, Santa Monica also serves up breakfast from 6am (and espresso martinis from 10am, hint hint), with eats like breakfast burgers, Italian baked eggs and fruit topped pancakes to choose from.
