You’ll find this secretive saloon down a shady stairwell in Eagle Lane, with nothing but a glowing red neon ‘Bar’ sign to mark the spot. With retro booth seating, an epic sound system worthy of the music belted out from the stage and plenty of top-shelf booze at the bar, it’s no wonder the bar is getting some notice, named ‘Australia’s best live music bar’ in 2015.

If a crafty brew or smooth rum isn’t enough to get your toes tapping and ready to hit the dance floor, sip your way through the house cocktails. The Zeds Dead Baby, a white wine sangria, is a crowd favourite, but towards the end of the night you might prefer a spicy Jack Rabbit Slims, with tequila, mint and jalepeno.
